A new year for us - a better world for our dogs
Many dogs suffer from the volume, the bright flashes and the unpredictable atmosphere that fireworks bring with them. Trembling, hiding and sometimes even panic are not uncommon. And not just for our dogs at home - shelter animals are also affected, as they have already been through enough.
But there is a simple way to make the turn of the year less stressful for dogs and do something good at the same time: Donate food instead of buying fireworks!
Why food donations are more important than rockets
- Support animals in need
Many animal shelters struggle with scarce resources every winter. Food, warm blankets and medical care are essential, especially during the cold months. With your donation, you can make a direct contribution to ensuring that animals start the new year full and healthy. - Set an example for sustainability
Fireworks may look pretty for a short time, but they leave behind tons of waste and pollute the environment with fine dust and chemical residues. Instead, you can help sustainably with a food donation and make a difference that really counts. - Giving joy together
Imagine how much joy you can give a dog when it gets a full bowl thanks to your donation. The feeling of having done something good also lasts much longer than the brief moment when a rocket explodes in the sky.
How you can help
- Bring food donations directly to the shelter: Most shelters are happy to accept dry and wet food, treats or special puppy and senior food.
- Donate online: Many organizations such as animal welfare associations or feeding platforms offer easy ways to fund food donations directly online.
- Offer alternatives: Want to make friends or neighbors happy? Give them a small donation certificate instead of fireworks - a great surprise for animal lovers!
New Year's Eve without stress - for you and your dog
By avoiding fireworks, you're not only doing something good for other dogs, but also for your own. Instead, you could celebrate the turn of the year with some cuddling time to distract your dog. Many dogs enjoy the extra attention - and you can start the new year relaxed.
Our resolution for 2025
Let's work together to make the world a little better for animals. You can make a big difference with small gestures like a food donation. And who knows? Maybe giving up fireworks will inspire others to get involved in animal welfare too.
With this in mind: Happy New Year - for you and for all dogs who depend on our support!
